Voice of the Families, 2002

Back in 2002, producer Jamie Becker was sideline to a conversation between the LMDC (Lower Manhattan Development Corp) and families to the victims of the Trade Towers attack, regarding the development of the impending WTC 9/11 Memorial. The developers were plowing headstrong into new plans to erect structures at Ground Zero, and were not involving the families in plans for the memorial to properly honor the dead. Jamie, being involved in activism and video production, contacted video producer Flynn (then as Lotus Fire Media) to produce a documentary about the issue from the families perspective. These are two clips of the musical segments using songs written by members of our own local FDNY Firefighters that were at Ground Zero on 9/11.
